Join Us for SBS Coffee Morning – “Change and How We Manage It”

We are excited to invite you to our first SBS Coffee Morning of 2025, part of our Wellbeing Events series! This year, we have chosen the theme of “Change and How We Manage It” as a focus for our discussions. Over the course of three sessions throughout the year, we will explore how change—whether small daily adjustments or major life transitions—affects us and how we can navigate it effectively.

A Year-Long Conversation: Coffee Morning 2025 Schedule

  • 29 October 2025 – Online (Zoom), 10:30 AM

Each session will provide a space for open discussion, shared experiences, and practical insights. We warmly invite you to join us for one or all of these events!

What to Expect at Our First Session – 26 March 2025 (Zoom)

Change is a universal experience, yet each person responds to it differently. Some people thrive on new experiences, adapting easily to unexpected situations. They may have a flexible mindset, strong problem-solving skills, or a positive outlook, which helps them embrace change as a learning opportunity. Others may find transitions more challenging, feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or resistant to uncertainty. They may require structure, stability, or external support to cope.

During this session, we will explore:

  • Why do some people embrace change while others struggle?
  • How can we develop a more adaptable mindset?
  • What practical strategies—like mindfulness, goal setting, or community support—can help us manage change more effectively?

Exploring Our Feelings Around Change

Change is not just about external circumstances—it deeply affects our emotions and mental well-being. While change can bring excitement, personal growth, and new opportunities, it can also cause stress, uncertainty, or fear. Understanding how we emotionally respond to change allows us to navigate it with more awareness and self-compassion.

Some questions we will reflect on together:

  • What emotions come up when facing change?
  • How do past experiences shape the way we react to new situations?
  • How can we build emotional resilience to handle change more smoothly?
