Maintaining Continuity: Resources Available During Our Annual Office Closure

 

Dear Fellow Swiss Nationals,

The Swiss Benevolent Society will take a short break in August for its annual office closure. We will be back to serve you inour regular hours on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024:

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (GMT)

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise during this period. To ensure continued support, we have compiled a list of helpful resources readily available to you:

  • Welfare Issues: For assistance with welfare issues, such as housing, food, or healthcare, please contact your local council (gov.uk/find-local-council) which can provide information and support.
  • Feeling Loneliness or Emotional Distress: If you are feeling lonely or experiencing emotional distress, you can call the free UK helpline operated by Samaritans 24 hours a day at 116 123 (samaritanshope.org) or your local GP.
  • Matters Concerning Swiss Nationality: For any inquiries or advice regarding your Swiss nationality, please contact the Swiss Embassy London at +44 (0) 20 7616 6400 or www.eda.admin.ch/london.
  • Financial Distress: If you are facing financial difficulties, we recommend contacting your local Citizens Advice Bureau (citizensadvice.org.uk) for free and confidential support. You can also find information and support from your local council (gov.uk/find-local-council) or DWP (gov.uk/other-financial-help.)
