FOSSUK

Originally constituted in London in 1949 as “The Presidents’ Assembly” it was later renamed “Federation of Swiss Societies in the United Kingdom” at the Annual General Meeting of 5 th October 1965. The Federation of Swiss Societies in the United Kingdom, simply known as FOSSUK, is a voluntary, non-profit making, non-party political Organisation of a co-coordinating and interactive nature. FOSSUK and its constituent Societies, Clubs and Institutions, henceforth called Corporate Members, fall within the general guidelines of the Bern-based Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA).

The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad, SwissCommunity

The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad, SwissCommunity, is committed to preserving the connection between Switzerland and its citizens living abroad within the framework of Article 40 of the Federal Constitution.

The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad has represented the overall interests of Swiss nationals abroad in Switzerland since 1916, and is recognised by the authorities as the mouthpiece of the “Fifth Switzerland”.

SwissCommunity supports Swiss people with regards to cross-border mobility and promotes exchange between the country and its diaspora.

Information and advice on all types of legal, social security insurance and training matters are also provided as well as the magazine “Swiss Review” and a wide variety of activities for young Swiss abroad.

swissinfo.ch

swissinfo is an enterprise of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). Its role is to inform Swiss living abroad about events in their homeland and to raise awareness of Switzerland in other countries. swissinfo achieves this through its nine-language internet news and information platform.

Swiss Church in London

The Swiss Church in London, rooted in the Swiss reformation of the 16th Century, is an inclusive church and we welcome all people regardless of age, relationship status, race, disability or sexual orientation. We are a place where people can explore their faith and spirituality regardless of how little or much faith you have when you join us. Church-goers and non-church people, believers and spiritual seekers from all denominations and religions are equally welcome.

The Swiss Church is a beautiful Grade II listed building set in the heart of London’s vibrant Covent Garden. We have a wonderful musical tradition and enjoy supporting contemporary arts.

Citizens Advice Bureau

The Citizens Advice Bureau is a Charity who helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Settled

Settled is a charity set up in 2019, and registered to give immigration advice at OISC Level 3, to help EU citizens living in the UK whose rights were affected by Brexit. They have a small team of staff, coordinators and lawyers, and a network of 100+ dedicated volunteers based throughout the UK, who speak over 20 European languages. Advice for EU citizens is provided free of charge by email or phone (Mon-Fri 9-5) and they always try to respond in beneficiaries’ preferred language.

Cruse is a charity specialising in bereavement care. Grief is a natural process, but it can be devastating. We are here to support you after the death of someone close.

Age UK

Ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging. Age UK provides services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people.
